What People are Saying

“The bridge between dreams and achievement is taking massive determined action. One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. No one understands this better than Michael Hyatt, and he’s engineered a new, easy-to-follow approach to harness this power in his new book Free to Focus.”
—Tony Robbins

“Michael Hyatt’s practical approach to productivity isn’t just another tactical guide filled with good ideas—it’s a comprehensive strategy for overhauling your life. It’s not just about getting more done, but getting the right things done—and that starts by knowing where you want to go.”
—Ruth Soukup

“Michael Hyatt is one of the best leaders I know, and I am excited that he’s written Free to Focus. Michael’s use of thorough testing and research, along with his proven track record as a leader of established and start-up companies, translates into a book that is full of insights and practical steps. Leaders rely on smart systems to help them lead in the office as well as at home, and Free to Focus provides the kind of system that every smart leader craves.”
—John C. Maxwell

“Michael Hyatt has written the guide to creating freedom and money without burning ourselves out in the process. Sometimes we are peddling the bike so hard and fast, we have to be reminded to stop, so we can get into the car. At the end of Free to Focus, you will be able to work in a space where nothing is urgent, deadlines are met, and the workday truly ends at the office. Hyatt doesn’t just teach this material, he lives it.”

“Revolutionize Your Productivity (No Hacks, No Gimmicks)”
By Austin L.
I am a big fan of Michael Hyatt and this book is no exception. I took the Free to Focus Course, subscribe to the Full Focus Planner, and listen to his podcast weekly. The principles in this book work. In fact, even if you only implement a few of the things in this book you will find your productivity will improve.
Here are some real results: I took all of my vacation days last year for the first time in my entire career. And, while on these vacations, I did not check my email once. I was afraid my numbers at work would fall, but the opposite happened. I tripled my sales from the year before while working less. I know this sounds like I am a crazy fanboi who is inflating results, but I assure you this is not the case.
The reason I am a fan of Michael and his ideas is because these ideas really work. They can work for you if you are like me and do not have a staff of people or an assistant, they can certainly work for you if you DO have a large staff and an assistant, but unlike many productivity systems, this can work for you if you are a student or just starting your career.
This book has the same great content as the course. I know that first hand because I took the course and I have read the book. If you are wondering why you can’t seem to get it all done, this book is for you. (Hint: You can’t get it all done, nor should you.)
“Getting the Right Things Done”
By Gary L Rau
“Here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place,” the Red Queen tells Alice. “If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!” (Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland)
No one can keep up with the Red Queen. And running faster doesn’t help if you’re pointed in the wrong direction. It’s time to rethink the whole model. (Michael Hyatt, Free to Focus)
“Free to Focus” is not your parents’ productivity book.
Productivity is not about getting more things done; it’s about getting the right things done. The important question is not, “Can I do this job faster, easier, and cheaper?” It’s,” Should I be doing this job at all?”
Productivity should free you to pursue what’s most important to you.
“Free to Focus” is not just a book, its’ an entire course on productivity. It includes links to tools the reader can use to assess their own productivity, identify their own goals and gain their own freedom.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be set free from running the rat race in order to run their own race.
